    Teresa Magbanua y Ferraris, known as the "Visayan Joan of Arc", was a Filipino school teacher and a military leader. She successfully led a group of bolo troops during the Battle of Barrio Yoting and the Battle of Sapong Hills, which were instrumental to the liberation of IloIlo City. Coming from an affluent family in Iloilo, Teresa was one of the few well-educated Filipinos who have participated in resistance movements against major Philippine colonizers.

    • How to care for your TERNO

      • Hand wash is the way to go!
        - Use mild detergent mixed with water. Soak for a few minutes. Do not scrub or squeeze. Hang and air dry but away from direct heat or sunlight.
      • Stains? No bleach please.
        - Spot cleaning the stained area by dabbing a soft wet cloth. Use a mild detergent in treating stains. Bleaching may cause damage to fabric and embroidery.
      • Ironing.​​​​​​​
        - To remove creases, you can either steam iron or dry iron in the lowest temperature setting. You can iron inside out to protect the embroidery designs from getting damaged.
      • Hand, cover and store​​​​​​​
        - Hang your TERNO using a clothes hanger. Cover in breathable clothes dust bag and hang in wardobe without crush storing or piling heavier clothing or items on top on in between.
