    Juan Luna from Ilocos Norte, became one of the first recognized Philippine artists. He was as a  painter, sculptor and a political activist of the Philippine Revolution during the late 19th century.

    He was highly regarded of his work in the European academies of his time and painted literary and historical scenes, some with an underscore of political commentary.

     

    This barong is made with white rami linen fabric. Embroidered in Lumban, Laguna, this Barong Tagalog is fit for a Filipino Hero like you and like Juan Luna.

     

     

    • How to care for your BARONG

      1. Hand wash is the way to go!
        - Use mild detergent mixed with water. Soak for a few minutes. Do not scrub or squeeze. Hang and air dry but away from direct heat or sunlight.
      2. Stains? No bleach please.
        - Spot cleaning the stained area by dabbing a soft wet cloth. Use a mild detergent in treating stains. Bleaching may cause damage to fabric and embroidery.
      3. Ironing.​​​​​​​
        - To remove creases, you can either steam iron or dry iron in the lowest temperature setting. You can iron inside out to protect the embroidery designs from getting damaged.
      4. Hand, cover and store​​​​​​​
        - Hang your TERNO using a clothes hanger. Cover in breathable clothes dust bag and hang in wardobe without crush storing or piling heavier clothing or items on top on in between.
