An ophthalmologist by profession, Jose Rizal became a writer and was a key member of the Filipino Propaganda Movement, that advocated political reforms for the colony under Spain. He is most known for his novels Noli Me Tángere (1887) and El Filibusterismo (1891).

    • How to care for your BARONG

      1. Hand wash is the way to go!
        - Use mild detergent mixed with water. Soak for a few minutes. Do not scrub or squeeze. Hang and air dry but away from direct heat or sunlight.
      2. Stains? No bleach please.
        - Spot cleaning the stained area by dabbing a soft wet cloth. Use a mild detergent in treating stains. Bleaching may cause damage to fabric and embroidery.
      3. Ironing.
        - To remove creases, you can either steam iron or dry iron in the lowest temperature setting. You can iron inside out to protect the embroidery designs from getting damaged.
      4. Hand, cover and store
        - Hang your TERNO using a clothes hanger. Cover in breathable clothes dust bag and hang in wardobe without crush storing or piling heavier clothing or items on top on in between.
