    "Alab ng Puso" meaning "flame of the heart" or "burning of the heart" is derived from the lyrics of the Philippines National Anthem. The embroidery design signifies the unwavering passion of our local artisans as they dedicate their lives in keeping our cultural heritage alive through their barong and terno creations. 

     

    Alab ng Puso Barong is part of the TERNO by TCG's new "Alab ng Puso Collection" in celebration of the 125th Philippines Independence Day on 12th June 2023.

     

    This barong is made with rami cotton linen fabric and features two fiery design embroidered using the sewing machine technique. Tailored in Lumban, Laguna by our partner local artisans, this barong makes a great outfit for casual and corporate events.

     

    • How to care for your BARONG

      1. Hand wash is the way to go!
        - Use mild detergent mixed with water. Soak for a few minutes. Do not scrub or squeeze. Hang and air dry but away from direct heat or sunlight.
      2. Stains? No bleach please.
        - Spot cleaning the stained area by dabbing a soft wet cloth. Use a mild detergent in treating stains. Bleaching may cause damage to fabric and embroidery.
      3. Ironing.​​​​​​​
        - To remove creases, you can either steam iron or dry iron in the lowest temperature setting. You can iron inside out to protect the embroidery designs from getting damaged.
      4. Hand, cover and store​​​​​​​
        - Hang your TERNO using a clothes hanger. Cover in breathable clothes dust bag and hang in wardobe without crush storing or piling heavier clothing or items on top on in between.
